Since the adoption of Special Inspections into the North Carolina State building code (IBC-Chapter 17), Special Inspections has been implemented to assist the Structural Engineers, Architects and Owners in insuring that their projects are being built according to the Project Documents and meet the requirements of The North Carolina State Building Code.
Summit Consulting offers Special Inspection services along with our many other services. Mr. Gary S. Michels, is the Department Manager for the Special Inspections Department; Gary is one of nine ICC Masters of Special Inspection in the state of (NC). He has met the requirements to be listed as an ICC Special Inspector in six disciplines as well as an AWS-CWI and ASNT Level II – UT, MT, PT, and VT.
