Since
the adoption of Special Inspections to
the North Carolina State building codes
(IBC-Chapter 17), Special Inspections
has been implemented to assist the
Structural Engineers, Architects and
Owners in insuring that the projects are
being built not only to the Project
Documents but also to help ensure that
the construction of the Project is being
built to meet the requirements of The
North Carolina State Building Codes.
Summit Consulting offers Special
Inspection services along with the many
other services provided. Mr. Michael H.
Tilley Sr. is the Senior Special
Inspector for this department; Mike is
only one of a handful of Special
Inspectors in the state of (NC) which
has met the requirements to be listed as
an ICC Master Special Inspector as well
as an AWS-CWI, ASNT Level II – UT, MT,
and PT.
Summit Consulting Special Inspector’s
have extensive experience and are
qualified to ensure compliance with the
